Siena’s basketball cards are great
Sienac University’s basketball collection is on the market for $10,000, according to an ad in the student newspaper.
The cards feature a variety of basketball players, including former NBA players Jason Collins and Andrew Wiggins.
“Sienac basketball fans will find many great basketball cards on this new site,” the ad reads.
“In the future, Sienacs basketball cards will feature new NBA players as well as local players.”
The basketball cards have an “all-new design” and a “smaller size,” the school said in a statement.
Sienace has a roster of 25 Division 1 basketball players and 15 Division II players.
The school said the cards are for the student body and that the student athlete will receive a gift card of $50.
The basketball card set is expected to sell for $100,000.
The University of Cincinnati is also considering a move toward digital sports cards.
Cincinnati’s basketball team recently unveiled its first digital sports card featuring players from its two Division I teams.
The card, unveiled Tuesday, features the same player card but includes the names of three different college basketball programs.
The Cards for Life website lists a goal of $5 million in revenue by 2020, with the school looking to increase the number of digital sports players.
