Stanford is coming off a 110-89 win over Arizona State on Wednesday.
It will try to avoid a season-worst fourth loss in five games, but it will be missing its leading scorer, center Bryce Dejean-Jones, who has been sidelined with a hamstring injury.
The Lakers are coming off their first road win of the year, beating Arizona State 93-82.
They have won five straight, but their only wins in the last six came against teams that had winning records.
The Denver Nuggets are coming in off a loss to Portland and are expected to try to end their four-game skid against the Wizards.
They will be without starting center Joffrey Lauvergne, who is dealing with a sprained ankle.
The Utah Jazz are coming into the game after being beaten by the Cleveland Cavaliers 106-104 on Wednesday night.
Utah is coming in to face a Washington team that was coming off of its worst defeat of the 2017-18 season.
The NBA has a week to decide the NBA championship and the playoffs.
If the Kings and Lakers finish with the same record in the conference, then the NBA’s championship game will be played on Sunday.
The next day, the Wizards will host the Indiana Pacers, who have won six of their last seven.
The Wizards have lost six straight games at home against the Pacers, but that will change against Utah.
The Jazz will be coming off an 82-75 loss at Philadelphia on Saturday.
The Wizards beat Indiana 114-100 on Wednesday, and the Pacers have won seven of their past eight.
They are coming home for the second straight night and will be looking to avoid the worst start to a season in the league.
