How to watch Dayton vs. Temple basketball on Friday, Feb. 15
A great day for Dayton basketball fans as the school continues to bounce back from its first-round NCAA Tournament exit last season.
The Golden Eagles will face Temple at 8 p.m.
ET Friday at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
Dayton’s best chance to clinch the program’s first national championship in 19 years came against Kentucky in the first round of the NCAA Tournament last April.
That game was the only game Dayton lost in the NCAA tournament.
The Cardinals (22-10, 10-8 Atlantic Coast Conference) are now 13-2 on the season and are just a game back of fourth place in the conference.
Dayton has won its past four games by a combined score of 117-56.
The Golden Eagles are coming off of a win over Florida in the second round of last season’s NCAA Tournament.
The Eagles are also coming off a win against Syracuse in the ACC Tournament semifinals.
The Orange defeated Dayton 81-67 in overtime to advance to the Final Four.
Dayton had not lost in Dayton Arena since March 7.
The Blue Raiders (20-11, 10.5) have won six straight games and have won 11 of their last 14 games.
The Blue Raiders, who have won 12 straight at home, have not lost at home since Feb. 13, 2017.
They won their last game of the season against Georgetown on Feb. 12.
Georgetown won its last game in Dayton on Feb, 17.
The Hoyas are currently riding a three-game winning streak and have dropped four straight games at home.
The Redhawks (16-12, 6.5), which lost in its first two games of the year, are coming into this game with a 3-9 record on the year.
The Redhawks have won seven of its last nine games and are currently on a five-game win streak.
The last time the Redhawks lost in front of 20,000 fans was Nov. 17, 2014 against Miami.
The Hoosiers won 83-58 in overtime.
The victory was the final regular-season home game for the Redhawk coaching staff.
The team has won 13 of the last 14 home games at the University of Dayton.
