How to play in college basketball without the hoop
By KENRYL T. GILL, Associated Press college basketball recruiters have been trying for decades to bring the game back to the U.S. by recruiting players who have already played overseas.
Now they’re working on a new strategy that involves a big new hoop, a new TV and new uniforms.
But the most intriguing piece of the puzzle is the NBA’s commitment to the game’s most lucrative market, where the league is in its infancy.
It has become a top priority for some players, and has even attracted some of the country’s biggest names.
So far, it has led to a surge in the number of players who are considering playing in the U., according to a recent study by recruiting website Scout.
And the popularity of basketball at the highest levels of the game is likely to continue to increase.
In its latest recruitment report for the season ending Sept. 30, the NBA said that the league was seeing a spike in interest from players from countries such as China, Italy, Argentina and Brazil, and a boost in interest among players from South America.
For instance, players from the Dominican Republic, Dominican Republic’s poorest region, have been coming to New York to try out for the league’s top team.
“They’re excited about this opportunity,” said Chris D’Agostino, the executive vice president of NBA talent management.
“They want to come here to play, play for their country, and they want to play for a national team.”
D’Agothino said the league has already begun making some moves to promote basketball in the United States, including introducing new game days and expanding its broadcast partner in the first two weeks of next year.
The league is also moving toward bringing the game to a new, high-definition screen for players, D’Arcy said.
That could include a revamped version of the league office that is located at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
The new screens will offer players the ability to watch the game live on their television sets and will be available through ESPN, Fox and NBA.com.
D’Armacy said the NBA will work with teams to develop new screens that offer the best viewing experience possible, but he also said the new screens are just the beginning.
“I think the league will continue to work with our teams to provide the best experiences,” he said.
“We’ve already begun to do some of that, and we’ll continue to do more as we move forward.”
The league also plans to expand the NBA Network and other digital media platforms for the next two years, including in partnership with Disney.
The NBA’s television networks are part of Disney’s portfolio, and ESPN, ESPN2 and TNT are part-owned by Disney.
D’Armacies and D’Rocca said that they expect to bring back the NBA All-Star Game, a showcase for top prospects, to the United State.
The league is already developing a new NBA Network event, which is being called the NBA Rising Stars and has a new host, but that event has yet to be announced.
“We think the NBA is very committed to bringing a big, big game here, and that will continue, but we think we can do that in a way that’s not a distraction for the fans, that’s a celebration for the players and the fans,” D’Antonio said.
The NBA also is working on developing a league-wide digital platform that will include new games, the opportunity to watch highlights and video on a TV screen and the ability for fans to participate in contests that will be streamed online.
The platform will be made available on the NBA.tv website, which has a live feed of games.
“The platform we’re developing is going to be really, really important for the game,” D-Armacies said.
“One of the things that we think is going have an impact on the game and the game in general is the ability of fans to see highlights of the games.”
D-Armacy, who has been in the league since 2001, said the success of the All-Stars and other games would be a big boost to the league.
But he acknowledged that players and fans would likely see a lot of changes.
“It’s going to take a little while to get used to, but I think it’s going, for us, to be very exciting and very exciting for the guys and the families,” D.
Armacies, a former player, said.
Armacy also said that a new player development league is under way at the league offices in New York and that a lot more work needs to be done to develop talent and develop young players.
But the league believes the effort is worth it, he said, because the league wants to continue producing top talent and keep its fans entertained.
“You know what, the league still does this in a really positive way,” Darmacies said, adding that the NBA does not feel it
